This is an exciting time to join Stroud District Council’s Community Services team as we take steps towards the creation of a Health Inequalities Strategy for the Stroud district. As a council we have been working on the front line of Health Inequalities throughout the cost-of-living crisis and would now like to refine the delivery of our services with an informed focus on how Health Inequalities impact our communities.
About the role
In this role you will work with internal colleagues, our communities, and key partners to develop a Health Inequalities Strategy for the Stroud district. Working closely with the Community Health & Wellbeing Manager and the strategy project team, you will be responsible for the creation of the new strategy. The Strategy will help to form a delivery plan to support Council teams to prioritise and deliver their remit in a way that helps to tackle Health Inequalities.
About you
You’ll have experience of working in an environment that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills and will be passionate and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service whilst working under pressure. You’ll have a sound knowledge and experience of:
· Health inequalities and how they impact on people’s lives.
· Project Management
· Working with partner organisations and stakeholders
· Using data and insight to influence policy creation.
· You will be highly motivated and community focused.
You’ll be able to use your own initiative to solve problems
This is a politically restricted post.
