About Us
Cotswold Canals Connected (CCC) is a National Heritage Lottery project to restore the Cotswold canal. This will result in 16km of restored canal and the reconnection of our canal to the rest of the UK’s canal network at Saul Junction. It will bring canal boats back into the heart of our rural towns and villages, revive lost heritage, strengthen our communities, and offer immense potential for local regeneration. About You
We are now recruiting a team to deliver the Community Engagement programme over the next two years. We are looking for individuals who have a real interest and passion for working with people and communities; a love of nature, the environment and our heritage, and ideally with a knowledge of the local area. This is a unique project working with a range of charities, organisations and councils along the canal corridor from Brimscombe to Saul.
This is no ordinary project and flexible work locations are possible within the role, a combination of home working if you desire is possible, as well as working from Ebley Mill and along the Canal itself. You will also need to be able to work outside of normal working hours, both at weekends and early evenings. In line with our 2030 Carbon Neutral Project, we would like to encourage candidates to be able to ride to work where possible to reduce our carbon footprint. We have a benefits that can support this, such as our Cycle to Work and Electric Car salary sacrifice schemes.
